Days-old worked example
Someone born on 10 March 2000 is 9,666 days old on 27 August 2026. That equals 1,380 complete weeks and 6 days. Their 10,000th day is Tuesday, 27 July 2027.

Why age × 365 is not exact
Multiplying whole years by 365 misses every 29 February you have lived through and ignores the partial year since your last birthday. A 30-year-old has normally lived more than 10,950 days, but the exact total depends on the birth date, today's date and the leap years between them.
What are the best days-old milestones?
Round day counts turn ordinary dates into rare occasions. Popular milestones include 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 and 25,000 days old. One thousand weeks, round months and millions of minutes create other ways to notice time without waiting for a decade birthday.
How do I find my next thousand-day milestone?
Divide your days lived by 1,000, round down to a whole number, add one, then multiply by 1,000. This finds the next milestone strictly after your chosen date. At 9,666 days old, the next milestone is 10,000 days, 334 days away. At exactly 10,000 days old, the next is 11,000 days, 1,000 days away.
Add those remaining calendar days to the date you checked, which may be today, a past date or a future date. Alternatively, add the full milestone count to your birth date. Days-old questions
How many days are in 18 years?
Eighteen years is 6,570 days before leap days are added. For example, 1 January 2000 to 1 January 2018 spans 6,575 elapsed days. The exact total depends on which dates you use.
An interval crossing a century boundary can contain fewer leap days: 1 January 2097 to 1 January 2115 spans 6,573 days because 2100 is not a leap year. The US Naval Observatory explains the Gregorian leap-year rule: century years must be divisible by 400 to be leap years. Choose your dates in the calculator above for an exact result.
Does today count?
A duration normally counts fully elapsed days. A celebratory “day of life” number may count the birth date as day one. LifeDates displays elapsed days lived.
